Creatives for Climate Action - Thailand (CCAT) by Creative Migration anchors Bangkok’s First Climate Action Week with a Global Hub, Toolkit, Studio & Workshops

At the core of this landmark regional gathering, CCAT will transform Bangkok 1899 into a vibrant Global Hub for climate and culture, uniting artists, designers, filmmakers, policymakers, youth leaders and local communities to envision a climate-safe and inclusive future for Southeast Asia.

This September, Bangkok Climate Action Week (BKKCAW, Sept 28-Oct 4) will launch its pilot edition of the annual city gathering that unites citizens, creatives, communities and institutions to celebrate local leadership and collective imagination for a climate-safe, inclusive Southeast Asia. At its heart, the Creatives for Climate Action - Thailand (CCAT) Global Hub at Bangkok 1899 will be the city’s dedicated space for exploring the intersection of climate action and cultural practice: a meeting point for artists, filmmakers, designers, policymakers and community members to connect, exchange ideas and spark collaborations that extend far beyond the event.

Creative Migration, as an organizing partner of BKKCAW, is responsible for CCAT programming at Bangkok 1899. The international arts organization has been building BKKCAW from ideation for nearly a year, shaping it into a cornerstone of the city’s climate and culture agenda. Launched in 2024, Creatives for Climate Action - Thailand (CCAT) is incorporated into BKKCAW as a defining pillar that connects global cultural climate initiatives with local leadership in Bangkok.
